Cannot log in Resource Central with password containing special character

Symptom

After setting a complex password (e.g. Ez2pzHdGsK!\-aUt) for a person, you click [Save] and the change is applied. But you cannot use that password to log into Resource Central.   

Cause

The password contains the character “\”, which is considered the separate character of URL and the part after this character is cut off.

Resolution

Do not use character “\” in passwords.
